I am hoping not to be plagued with the One Sock Malaise but we'll have to see. Its a little tight around my calf so I might have to cast on a few more stitches the next pair.
congrats on the sock! So far, I finish one sock to the heel flap then put it on a stitch holder and then start and finish the second. That way the second sock (the first one I started) is already halfway done. Helps avoid second sock syndrome.
It looks great! If the calf is snug, you could pull out the cast on and then bind off to loosen it up. It is too pretty not to have a mate!!
Self described fiber addict, seduced by the tensile serenade of silk, wool, angora, cashmere, and obsessed with
the creation of garments fashioned out of loops upon loops of yarn. Entirely too much time on her hands.

It is in fact a VERY lovely first sock! Good for you!
hurray for sockdom! now go and finish the second one - if you start now, you won't suffer from single sock syndrome!

Your first sock is great! I have yet to knit some socks, but when I do, I hope they turn out as great as that one!
